Valiant 9

I taught the 9 year olds of primary for the first time on Sunday. I was nervous all through sacrament. When it was time, one of the sisters showed me which class was mine. They all stared as I went to sit by them. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 girls and 2 boys. They saved me a seat between the last girl and the 1st boy. The boys whispered "why is there so many girls?" It made me chuckle. My lesson was on the APOSTASY of the church. All the girls hurried to the front row of the class while the boys reluctantly staggered to the back row. Naomi got a chair for me. I know i was supposed to teach them but I was also the one learning. I'm so thankful for Joseph Smith for restoring the gospel. I actually memorized all their names - Allison, Rachel, Megan, Ellie, Naomi, Rachel, Hannah, Briggs, and Blake. 9 year olds get distracted so easily! Somehow we got on the subject of where everyone lives for like 5 minutes! We got through the lesson (who knows how much they remember) and I gave each kid 2 pieces of candy! They are all so so so sweet! In primary all the girls wanted me to sit by them. haha :) I'm excited for the rest of the year. Kids are like sponges. I hope and pray for the guidance to teach with the Spirit.

Teaching is so hard! But knowing you I'm sure you're doing great. My sister told me about a website that all the primary teachers use for help.. it's called "sugardoodle.net". You might already know about it! I miss you!!
